Growing national footprint helps DTC and B2B brands reach their customers rapidly and more cost-effectively
ATLANTA, March 21, 2024 — Stord, a leader in high-volume fulfillment services and supply chain technology for omnichannel mid-market and enterprise brands, announced expanded warehouse capacity with a new Dallas fulfillment center. The 280,000-square-foot facility will serve Stord’s omnichannel customers for both DTC and B2B fulfillment across the southern part of the United States.
Dallas will be Stord’s fifth managed location, complemented by a network of strategic partner facilities to serve specialized customer needs such as one-day or same-day shipping in niche markets. Stord already has first-party warehouses in Atlanta, GA, North Haven, CT, Las Vegas, and Reno, NV.
This new Stord location broadens its footprint across the country for omnichannel brands to reach their consumers nationwide more easily, as well as provide a centralized location for those opting for a single node option.
This new facility is FDA registered for food-grade storage and is equipped with state-of-the-art material handling equipment (MHE) and PIT equipment including pack stations, conveyance, reach, trucks, and other systems. The Dallas facility is integrated with Stord’s operator-built warehouse management system (WMS), Stord One Warehouse, creating consistency and improved operational procedures across Stord’s entire network of fulfillment centers.
“Dallas continues our commitment to providing the most flexible and robust nationwide coverage for our customers,” said Kyle VanGoethen, VP, Network Planning. “Our expanded offerings of DTC and B2B fulfillment capabilities combined with supply chain technologies is a much needed shift in traditional 3PL thinking. By investing in a truly integrated solution of distributed fulfillment centers and integrated OMS & WMS software, brands can more easily manage, optimize, and streamline their operations, with no disconnect between disparate partners and tools. Strategic investments, like Dallas, ensure that we continue delivering on our vision of Cloud Supply Chain.”
Today’s announcement underscores Stord’s continued momentum. The company recently announced new customers Athletic Greens, and Kai Media, joining other high-growth, omnichannel brands like Native, goodr, Alex & Ani, Seed Health and more. Stord recently introduced strengthened functionality for Stord One Warehouse, an operator-built warehouse management system (WMS), specifically for 3PLs. Stord also recently won several notable awards including being ranked on the Inc. 5000 list for the third consecutive year, winning 3PL Platform of the Year from SupplyTech Breakthrough, named to Forbes List of America’s Best Startup Employers, and many more.
